There are many student organizations, clubs and activities available at Rauner, with many of them offering additional elective credits to scholars. Some operate only during specific times of the year and new groups are always forming. Some of the current clubs and groups are listed below.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Members of the Student Council are elected by the student body and are responsible for reviewing student concerns and coordinating special activities.
ROBOTICS TEAM: The robotics team works with a staff coach and volunteer engineers to design and build robots for competitions across the state and region.
JAZZ ENSEMBLE: The jazz ensemble meets after school and participates in extra practices outside in preparation for ensemble concerts and performances at Town Hall and other school and community events.
KNITTING CLUB: Members of the knitting club learn basics of knitting and create their own pieces, including scarves, hats, and other items.
WEB DESIGN: Scholars in the web design program learn the basics of webpage creation and design, and by the end of the program create their own original homepages.
